Rich colors, pumpkin spice and cool weather, Fall is finally here!
Autumn may mark the end of lazy afternoons and summer Fridays but it's the beginning of pumpkin picking and cider drinking making it nearly everyone's favorite season.
Did you know Fall colors are caused by the amount of sugar in leaves? The more the red in the leaf, the more sugar that leaf is storying. That is why Maple trees are so vibrant.
October is one of the most beloved months of the year. Perhaps it’s the cool weather, the rich earthy tones that come to life or the excitement of football season. Whatever the reason, I am glad it’s here and here’s why:
Pumpkin Spice and everything nice. Who doesn’t love pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin flavored beer and pumpkin inspired candle scents.
Clothes layering season. The warm afternoons with cooler crisp nights means October is really the only time you can wear everything in your closet! Flaunt those legs in a pair of shorts and ankle boots or layer a blazer over your fave tank.
An excuse to consume unlimited sweets! A variety of chocolate bar options in ever size, candy corn and caramel apples, the options are endless.
Soup season is officially here. There’s nothing more comforting than a bowl of pho, chili or stew to warm you up from inside out.
No more reruns! All of my shows are back: The Voice, Empire, The Walking Dead, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, SVU and Once Upon a Time.
Scarves. I love the versatile options of wearing scarves in the fall. You can wear it with a t-shirt one day or a sweater the next and it wouldn’t be weird.
It’s snuggle weather. Snuggling under the blanket with the window cracked open. Snuggling with your partner, kiddos or dog, October brings people closer together.
The picturesque scenery. The greenery of summer turns to vibrant and beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows creating a magnificent background for photos.
Halloween. When else do you get to dress up as your favorite character or run around like a monster scaring all the little ones!
Bring out the boots! Whether they’re ankles, over the knee or uggs, boots bring a whole new look to my old jeans and leggings.
