DIY Framed Wooden Letter

Super easy framed letters make a great addition to any theme decor.

PRO TIP: Spray paint works just as well if you're not going after the distressed look.

Jazz up the frame with your favorite flowers, greenery or glitter for a different vibe!

Inspired by Pinterest, I have wanted to make a framed wooden letter for a while now.I love how simple things such as letters can articulate so much personalization on a wall, room or an event. My sister-n-laws baby shower was the perfect excuse to finally make one. These ingenious wall art projects are fairly inexpensive to make. Most of the supplies you'll need are pretty cheap and you may already have them at home. The total cost of my project was a little over $7.00.I found the frame at a thrift store for $1.00, got the wood letter from Hobby Lobby for $3.95, and the pink tulle at Walmart for about $2.00.Here’s how I made mine.

Supplies

· Frame

· Letter

· Paint

· Sand paper

· Sponge or paint brush

· Tulle

· Scissors

· Newspaper to cover your work area

Directions

1. First you’ll want to sand off any paint on the frame if you’re after that vintage/ distressed look.

2. Paint the frame and let dry according to your paint instructions, then reapply if you want a little more coverage.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the letter. 4. Cut out the appropriate length of tulle and tie the letter to frame.

Voila - it’s that simple! Happy monogramming!
